The IV Salon professional straightener is another great product from GHD. The salon has much broader plates than the standard or mini versions which are designed for thicker and longer hair. The ceramic plates are a massive 4cm wide which makes working on larger volumes of hair a lot faster.

Unfortunately they lack the versatility of the smaller variants, and are particularly awkward to use near the scalp.

Theya are predominantly used in salons, where time is money! Used along side the standard verions the Mk IV Salon can be used on the bulk of ones hair, whilst switching to a smaller pair for more detailed aspects of the style.

These are not the “only straighterner you will ever need”, if it is versatility you are after, then go with the standard model, however, if you have long hair and are finding it time consuming work to straighten, then these may be a worthwhile timesaver.
